25OctWeek #7 Sunday exercise 140 min (16.1 km)

This exercise was in two sessions. Approx. half an hour between them. I did a mix of walk, run and incline walking.

Session  1 quick stats: 70 min, 8.8 km, 551 cal

Session 2 quick stats: 70 min, 7.3 km, 585 cal

Together: 140 min, 16.1 km, 1136 calories

18OctWeek #6 Sunday exercise 90 min (11.3 km)

Quick stats: 90 min, 11.3 km, 611 cal.

Half walking and half running - interval training again. A bit longer but not so intensive.

03OctWeek #4 Saturday exercise 67 min (10 km)

Here I did my first 10 km run. I wanted to run 10 km as fast as I can, but not burn out while running.  So I managed to run 10 km in 67 min 22 sec and burn 515 calories while running.

In the future I have a plan to do more 10 km runs and I hope my time will get better.

25SepWeek #3 Friday exercise 100 min (8.7km)

Walk slowly and you will go far. A proverb that turned out true in this exercise. So slow walk/run for 100 minutes and you might do 8.7 km and burn 862 cal.

20SepWeek 2 Sunday exercise 60 min (7.8 km)

The first 1 hour exercise in one piece.

  • 7.8 km
  • 447 cal

05FebWeek #14 Thursday exercise / 90 min (12.1 km)

  • 10 minutes of warming up
  • 20 minutes of running at 9 km/h and 1% incline
  • 5 minutes of walking at 6.5 km/h and 1% incline
  • 20 minutes of running at 9 km/h and 1% incline
  • 5 minutes of walking at 6.5 km/h and 1% incline
  • 20 minutes of running at 9 km/h and 1% incline
  • 10 minutes of walking to cool down

Calories burned: 717
Distance: 12.1 km
Time: 90 minutes

This was one of the hardest exercises this year … tomorrow will be a rest day!

02FebWeek #14 Monday exercise / 60 min (7.8 km)

  • 10 minutes of warming up
  • 40 minutes of running at 8.5 km/h and 1% incline
  • 10 minutes of walking to cool down

7.8 km in 60 minutes and 477 caories burned.

30JanWeek #13 Friday exercise / 90 min (11.6 km)

This was one of the most intensive exercises I have done this year.  90 minutes of action and 60 minutes of running.

  • 10 minutes of warming up
  • 20 minutes of running at 8.5 km/h and 1% incline
  • 5 minutes of walking at 6.5 km/h
  • 20 minutes of running at 8.5 km/h and 1% incline
  • 5 minutes of walking at 6.5 km/h
  • 20 minutes of running at 8.5 km/h and 1% incline
  • 10 minutes of walking to cool down

I was glad that my heart beat didn’t go over 155 bpm and that the running part was not exhausting. Nevertheless I have felt heavy legs in the third running interval but managed to stick to the plan and run full 20 minutes.

Until the end I have burned 686 calories and ran/walked 11.6 km.

A great workout! And now that I know how much running I can do in one workout I plan to do it again and slowly be able to do longer and faster runs.

11JanWeek #11 Sunday exercise / 80 min (9.5 km)

Today’s workout was:

  • 20 minutes of warm upand light incline walking at 5% incline
  • 20 minutes of running at 8.5 kmh
  • 10 minutes of moderate walking
  • 10 minutes of running at 8.5 kmh
  • 10 minutes of 12% incline walking
  • 10 minutes of cooling down by moderate and slow walking

It was an intense and longer than average exercise and I burned 711 calories. The lower number of burned calories was due to running. If you look at previous exercises you will be able to notice that the incline walking can make you burn by far the largest number of calories.

14DecWeek #7 Sunday exercise / 90 min (10.7 km)

Today’s exercise was diverse and quite intensive. I wanted to mix running with walking and for the end some incline walking. So the formula is 9×10:

  • 10 minutes of walking to warm up
  • 10 minutes of running at 9 kmh (2% incline)
  • 10 minutes of walking at 6.5 kmh (2% incline)
  • 10 minutes of running at 9 kmh (2% incline)
  • 10 minutes of walking at 6.5 kmh (2% incline)
  • 10 minutes of running at 9 kmh (2% incline)
  • 10 minutes of walking at 6.5 kmh (2% incline)
  • 10 minutes of incline walking at 6.5 kmh and 12% incline
  • 10 minutes of slow walking with no incline to cool down

The distance was 10.7 kmh and I have burned 802 calories.

Today I was running much more than before and during it I sometimes thought I should break up those 10 minute walks and runs into 5 minute runs and walks to have more intervals and maybe diversify the runs so that some of them would have additional incline. I will sure remember this for the future exercises.
