In today’s exercise I have walked the majority of time and run for only about 10 minutes. The general formula was 5/70/10:
- 5 minutes of warming up
- 70 minutes of walking with incline (5-12%) including 10 minutes of running at 9 kmh
- 10 minutes of cooling down
In total I have burned 937 calories.
While exercising I was watching an interesting Norwegian film from 2006 The art of negative thinking (imdb.com) that shows how positive thinking can be an obstacle to living a fulfiling life. I recommend it.
This was a moderate exercise by speed but intense by incline. I have decided to have only 30 minute exercise due to extra outdoor exercise during the day. So these 30 minutes were all 12% incline walking at approx. 6 kmh.
I have walked 2.8 km and burned 385 calories. A good and quick workout
The exercise was a nice combination of incline walking (from 5 to 12% incline).
In 60 minutes I lost 635 calories and walked 6.1 km.
This was actually a morning exercise and as you might know I am not used to them. I rather exercise in the evening (after work). I should get used to run in the morning … but it will take some time. I would like to test that theory of being more energetic during the day if you exercise in the morning.
I started the 9th week with 45 minute exercise.
- 5 minutes of warming up
- 35 minutes of incline walking at 7-12% incline and
- 5 minutes of slow walking to cool down
It was good to be on track again. The exercise wasn’t too intense but as I was now on the treadmill after a week and a half it was a great exercise. My legs are tired a bit but I feel great again.
Altogether I have burned 544 calories.
